Bio

Ani Ostendorff went to school in North Carolina where she received a B.F.A. in multimedia and ceramics along with an art education certification. She loved spending time in the ceramics studio and the foundry, creating large sculptures and learning the workings of the studios. This website is primarily ceramic work, but Ani works in many medias.

The pottery on this site is all one of a kind and original. Ani gets inspiration from her garden and from environmental ideas and concerns. She considers how pottery and artwork can affect our daily lives. She intends for her work to be used, saying, "Pottery is nothing if left on a shelf. It's important to give each piece the time and consideration it deserves."

Ani taught art for several years in North Carolina before recently moving to Utah. Currently she teaches high school in the Salt Lake City area and thoroughly enjoys having summers off. Teaching is a constant source for new ideas as it provides opportunities for creative problem solving.

Please enjoy the website and feel free to contact Ani with any questions or comments that you may have.
